Paulina Czerny-Smith
Paulina is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPI). She is a compassionate psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s transitions. Holding a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Diploma of Counselling in Process work, Paulina offers a holistic and personalised approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. Paulina specialises in perinatal mental health and early parenting challenges, providing empathetic, trauma-informed care during this critical time. Her approach ensures that clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate the emotional, psychological, and relational shifts that come with new parenthood. In addition to working with individuals, she also supports couples during this transition—helping them strengthen their connection and adapt to the evolving demands of parenting together. In her therapeutic work, Paulina draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychoeducation, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and Process Work. Paulina also completed specialised training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
