Sophie Ruzyla

Mums Matter clinician

Sophie Ruzyla

I am a registered psychologist with 13 years of experience working across a broad range of settings, supporting adults, parents, youth and children. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about promoting emotional wellbeing, strengthening relationships, and helping individuals navigate lives transitions with confidence and resilience. I have a particular interest in supporting mums-to-be and new mothers as they adjust to the profound physical, emotional, and relational changes that accompany pregnancy and early parenthood. I provide a warm, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to addressing concerns such as anxiety, low mood, attachment, identity changes, birth experiences, parenting confidence and the transition to motherhood. My work is grounded in creating a safe and non-judgemental space where women feel heard, understood, and empowered. In addition to my professional experience, I am also a mum of three children. My lived experience of pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the realities of family life deepens my empathy and informs my practice, allowing me to connect authentically with the women and families I support.
